The Man who Loved Boxes
With no dialogues, in a touching love declaration, the play shows, through playful dynamics and silence, how father and son demonstrate the love they feel for each other.
A minimalist soundtrack guides the play as the story arises from the images built from a stage game that mixes actors, puppets, masks and singing, in a show of high visual and emotional impact.
The play is more than just an adaptation from the book “The Man who loved Boxes”, it is an immersion in the author’s universe of images and literature and a mixture of styles – Artesanal’s main line of research.
Zilka Sallaberry Theatre for Children Award / 2011 - Best Set Design and Best Light Design.
"The play’s aesthetics, its imagery, its plasticity and its playful nature are the result of ArtesanaL Cia de Teatro’s years of research for the balance between form and content. It is a delicate, playful, lyrical, unmissable show that reaches its target audience – children – who follow the entire plot, experiencing the universe created by the author in his book and the one recreated by the show."
